My professional life changed forever when work we’d made for Facebook Gameroom opened the door to the integrated launch campaign for Oculus Rift.

Not only was I asked to essentially drop everything to scramble the launch campaign for the first consumer-grade VR hardware, my remit was to also simultaneously build a conflict agency called space.camp from scratch.

VR is the most transportive experience in gaming.

This strategic north star powered the “Step Into Rift” launch campaign where we invited gamers to leave the status quo behind and immerse themselves into 360 gaming worlds where your entire body is the controller.

Launching Oculus Rift (and later Oculus Quest) and building the VR Gaming category from virtually non-existent in 2016 to robust in 2020 with 29 million+ selling VR games and counting is an experience I won’t soon forget.

Oh yeah, we got Conan into a VR game too which was really really fun.

You pick up quite a few things when you live inside the funnel we worked on a 25 phase campaign in 23 countries driving 50+ media vehicles over 100 weeks. 

We also launched and serviced the Oculus Gaming social channels, spearheaded tons of creator activity including the Oculus Rift Streams, and worked on the launch campaigns for many high-profile titles.
